The transparency is awesome. Hitting the nail on the head with this struggle. We have to bring this area of lust and sin into the light. No longer can our families have this hiding in the dark corners waiting to jump out and expose our children. I am so proud and encouraged by your thoughts. I have slacked on reading these posts. I am hooked. What I belive this world and our fellow men need is transparency and honesty. No more lies of the enemy...let HIS LIGHT expose ALL the darkness.
I love you brother.

Thanks Mark! You guys are great friends and although we don't get to connect very often, I am grateful for you!

Glad you were encouraged by the post. I am with you on the planning side, but for me I tend to operate all too many times without the awareness that my plans are only as good as His will for me;-) Hope to see you in the ATL soon! S.

Scott, powerful words, my friend. It reminded me that our plans are truly subject God's sovereignty; while the process of planning is vital (it's necessary to "count the cost"), plans become obsolete the moment God begins to move.

We're praying for your situation, whatever it might be. You inspire me and encourage me. Thank you, my brother.

Thanks for reading and for the encouragement Erin! I have found that not only do we find freedom when we are authentic with our stories and struggles, but often times it gives us some of our most significant ministry opportunities. I am honored that my story can be a positive impact on the lives of others! Blessings to you! S.

Thank you for sharing some of the deepest, innermost thoughts you have on this blog. It is so hard sometimes to put that stuff out there for other people's scrutiny, especially when you are trying to come to grips with it yourself. You never know the positive impact your words can have on someone's life when you share your story. My prayer for you is that through these "comments" you will know the impact you are having. Well done, you!

Adam, thanks for the post and I completely agree. Dependence on Him in the deepest parts of who we are is crucial. Challenging for sure, but a worthy pursuit! S.

Amen to your post. I was just doing a bit of that "longing for home" yesterday when we will all be made whole. Thanks for your insight. I'll have to drop by your blog again sometime.

Amen!

Broken people have sharp edges.. and it's when we choose to live life together, that God lavishes His grace on us.. and heals us, as we learn to trust in Him.
In the core of our being.. we must learn that life is learning to be fully dependent on Him.

Born: June 5, 1971

Places I have lived: Miami, FL - Atlanta, GA

My immediate family: My Mom, Step Father Sergio and Sister Mariser (Miami), My Dad, Step Mother Bexy and 3 Brother - Mike, Danny and Ian (Atlanta). I am the only child from the first marriage.

My family: Listed above. Currently separated and technically days away from being legally divorced.

Where I have worked: This section would take me forever to fill out, as I have had so many employers. Several years ago, I realized that i tend to get a "1 year bug" and have made an effort to get past that. I do serve on the Production Team at NP and have been for a little over a year now.

My wiring: ????? Not sure what this section is for.

What I enjoy: Spring, Summer, Fall and all of the outdoor activities that usually come with them. Having family and friends over and entertaining. Miami Hurricanes Football (we have something in common already). Going to the gym. Great Food. Deep Conversations. Early morning coffee with the Lord (more things we have in common).
